BACKGROUND The WriteOn project is one which helps children learn to write correctly. This is achieved by enforcing the tripod grip position which is the less stressful way to hold a writing tool. According to research, children of all ages are growing up holding their writing tools in different ways. While the children can still function as writers with these different grip positions, there is only one non-harmful way to do so, the tripod grip. The tripod grip, over time, puts much less stress on the hand muscles and avoids permanent damage. We, along with the help of our engineering team, developed a prototype stylus that works seamlessly with the WriteOn mobile application to help children achieve the tripod grip. OBJECTIVES DEVELOPER PROTOTYPE Develop a mobile application that uses the WriteOn stylus Communicate with the stylus using Bluetooth LE Create an engaging application that enforces tripod grip BUBBLE GAME Combination of Bubble Shooter game and writing practice makes our application educational and entertaining at same time. Using nearest-neighbor machine learning algorithm to recognize user input. Automatically generating bubbles based on player’s skill level. GUI CONCLUSION CAVE DIVER GAME The WriteOn project succeeds in furthering the ability of children to achieve the ideal writing grip. It also achieved the ability help children write letters in the correct form which will help them as their lives go on since writing is an essential skill, even in the digital age. This project also has the potential to move forward and help disabled patients learn to write again and cope if brain damage occurs that affects cognitive abilities. Randomly generated levels allow for our application to never be repetitive. Allowed the user to focus on feeling the difference between longer strokes in ‘Big Space’ and shorter, more focused strokes in ‘Small Space’
