All students are required to take the English Placement (EPT) and Entry Level Mathematic (ELM) examination unless they are exempt. EPT Exemption Placed in “Ready for CSU College Level English on EAP 500 or above on critical reading of SATI 22 or above on ACT English test 3,4, or 5 on language composition or literature composition of AP exam Completion of course satisfying CSU GE English Composition with a “C” or better grade ELM Exemption Place in “Ready for CSU College Level Math” on EAP or “Conditional” with successful completion of approved 12th grade course 550 or above on math portion of SATI 23 or above on ACT math test 3,4, or 5 on Calculus AB or BC AP exam 3 or above on Statistics AP exam Completion of course satisfying CSU GE Quantitative Reasoning requirement with a “C” or better

Students can download a Change of Major Request form from or obtain a form from the Admissions and Records Service Windows, North Lobby, Joyal Administration Building. Students then take the form to the new major for an advisor's approval. Once the form is complete, students return the form to the Admissions and Records Service Windows.
