2 A little bit of history ….
History of ILGs: Industry Liaison Groups (ILGs) are organizations spawned by the U.S. Department of Labor’s (DOL) Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) in the early 1980′s to encourage open communication between federal contractors and the OFCCP. The objectives have expanded since the ILGs’ early beginnings to include partnerships with other government agencies, like the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Office of Disability Employment Programs (ODEP) and US DOL Veterans Employment & Training Service (DOL Vets), to name a few. Local ILGs are in every OFCCP region.

Working Together Towards Equality in the Workplace NILG Vision: To be the premier association of federal contractors supporting affirmative action and equal opportunity in the workplace through collaboration with ILGs and liaisons with the OFCCP, the EEOC, and other government agencies and organizations connected to federal contracting EEO and AA requirements. NILG Mission: Support individual Industry Liaison Groups Coordinate the annual ILG National Conference Provide comments and feedback to regulators Liaise with OFCCP, ODEP, VETS, EEOC and related stakeholders

NILG/ODEP Activity Co-Host webinars in partnership with EARN and ODEP to provide information on best practices in the disability space to ILG members only Webinars included: (1) Ensuring Your Virtual Doors are Open: A Key Component of Disability Inclusion and (2) Building a Disability-Inclusive Talent Pipeline Added a disability focused page on NILG website called Advancing Disability Employment NILG/VETS Activity Meet with VETS representatives once a quarter Presented issue of timing of VETS-4212 report to coincide with EEO-1 report; currently being reviewed by VETS team VETS presenting at ILG conference in breakout session Discussing with VETS possible webinar topics

Pillar Two: Supporting and Engaging with ILGs Pillar Three: Leveraging the Voice of the ILGs NILG Comments Committee Craft and submit responses to various agency NPRMs on behalf of the ILGs. 7 submissions in last year: Comment Submissions: OFCCP and EEOC merger Letter Department of Justice’s Notice of Proposed Rulemaking Concerning Unfair Immigration- Related Employment Practices, Revision to EEO-1 Report -Pay Data, & EEOC Proposed Retaliation Guidance, OFCCP Agreement Approval Process for Use of Functional AAPs, National Industry Liaison Group Comment on the Department of Justice’s Notice of Proposed Rulemaking Concerning Unfair Immigration- Related Employment Practices: October 14, 2016 NILG Constituency Outreach and Media Committee Distribute periodic updates from agencies on enforcement priorities Conducts annual surveys of ILG Chairs on membership needs Produce 5 webinars annually on topics of interest to the ILG membership across the U.S. Examples are: Top Ten Litigation Developments: The GC’s Perspective by the EEOC Industry Experts on Effective & Compliant Compensation Analyses by Biddle Consulting Effective Outreach & Recruiting by James Schmeling, Syracuse Univ. Institute for Veterans

Pillar Four: Maximizing the Value of the Annual Conference NILG Conference Management Committee 2018, 2019 and 2020 Conference locations have been selected and confirmed Re-Brand 2020 Conference as the NILG National Conference 2020 Co-Host Selection: Mid-Atlantic ILG Revising conference management processes for the conference to ensure quality and consistency in conference programming and presentation
