Let’s create an organisation!
» History 1987 Stockholm Let’s create an organisation! Legend says that as every brilliant idea that is born in northern Europe, it was born in a sauna. In 1987 for the first time a meeting between 12 European universities where only students of physics and mathematics were invited. It was called International Week. This meeting had the main goal to set up a link between the European universities and to support the exchange of the students between these universities. As the meeting has no clear conclusion, it was decided to organize an International Week each year in different country where problems of exchange in Europe would be discussed. Another important decision was to enlarge the board of the meeting to all Europe.

Aim of BEST Students: European Students of Technology
Universities: European universities Partners: Organisations and individuals we cooperate with Note the similarity to the logo of BEST! This is in fact one of the meanings of our logo: the three parts of our logo are our three stakeholders, and BEST is the ball in the center, connecting them.

1991 » History Summer courses
The idea of courses already started at GA 1990, and in 1991 the first Summer Programme happened, consisting of summer courses all around Europe.

This is just a few moments from our long and dear history, if you would like to know more you can find our History of BEST book under Marketing Materials in PA.

Activities of BEST Complementary Education: Seasonal Courses
Competitions Educational Involvement: Events on education in an international setting Career Support: Career Support in an international setting Our activities are what we do to support our services. BEST organises different activities that strive to accomplish our mission: Developing Students. By participating in these activities, students from member universities get the opportunity to increase their international experience, establish contacts, improve their English and have fun. All of these activities are targeted for external students, meaning students studying at a university with a Local BEST Group.
