6 The Blood Donation Facts
38 blood donation sessions in the England and Wales. We managed to register over 300 people to donate blood. This 300 as % of the current blood donor register from the Indian community is approx. 2.9%, which is fantastic effort. The largest group 60 was from the Bolton Swaminarayan Mandir Session Based on the size of the Hindu community in that area, Rugby have done a brilliant job to recruit 32 Donors

7 Impact of Sewa Day As a result of the Sewa Day Campaign there has been an 37% increase in the number of new recruits from the Indian Community. Sewa Day Impact

8 Comparison with Others

9 Actions for Oct / Nov Drive
We need to broaden our reach in the community by getting other national organisations to work in partnership with us. Utilise the new 300, registered donors to act as ambassadors for our campaign in Oct / Nov Identify new venues within our communities that meet the Blood Donation venue criteria, so we can get the process going for these to be Risk Assessed. Identify sessions in each location well in advance of Oct / Nov so maximum number of slots can be allocated for the Asian Community. Review the material and process produced for this campaign to ensure any faults, errors and improvements are introduced. Produce a short Video to communicate our success in April
