2 Egypt. Probably the most famous structure in all of Egypt, the Pyramids are still on of the worlds best architectural achievement, even though they were built many centuries ago. These structures can be as tall as 482 feet (147 m) high. The Pyramid towers over many other famous landmarks, including the Statue of Liberty. The first true pyramid was build at saqqara for the king Zoser. It was called a step pyramid because of its step shape. The later pyramids were smooth sided, like the Great Pyramid at Giza, built for the king Khufu about 4,500 years ago

The ancient Egyptians produced art to serve functional purposes. For over 3500 years, artists adhered to artistic forms and iconography that were developed during the Old Kingdom.

Constructed their houses of mud-brick and stone designed to remain cool in the heat of the day. There motifs based on vegetation lilies date palms and papyrus.

They painted the walls white and could be covered with dyed linen wall hangings. They covered the floors with reed mats, while wooden stools, beds raised from the floor and individual tables comprised the furniture.

6 Interiors & the major characteristic of the interior design :
Most Individuals do not consider Egyptian interior design as a décor. The current peaked curiosity in this civilization has brought many people to the point of wanting the look and feel of the Egyptian period using Egyptian interior design

7 Arts ( sculptures, calligraphy, paintings ) :
wood was generally just used for statuary pieces. The native timbers, principally acacia and sycamore-fig, were found to be fibrous and knotty. Sculptures made of wood and soft stone were commonly covered with gesso after their completion. Sculptures were created in either a statuary or relief form. They imagine the three dimensional statuary form. Statues were formed by from a mass of material, such as stone or wood.

9 Costumes & jewelry : Egyptian costume jewelry is amongst the first jewelry that was produced for the specific purpose of ornamentation. The Ancient Egyptians wore very light clothing made of linen. They use the cloisonné the outlines of figures with gold wires that were then soldered to find sheets of beaten gold and with precious stones.

10 Colors ( furniture & costumes ) :
White and black (Ancient Egyptian name 'hedj') was the color of purity, sacredness, cleanliness, and simplicity. Tools, sacred objects, and even priest's sandals were black and white for this reason. Sacred animals were also depicted as black and white. Clothing, which was often just undyed linen, was usually depicted as white and black .

11 Materials ( furniture & costumes ) :
They use Wood, Metal, Bronze, Stone and Wood Turning. Wood - While straw, the typical material of very primitive furniture was used in ancient times, wood was the material usually used in ancient furniture making.

12 The most used principles of design in interior & architecture :
Is both the process and product of planning, designing and construction. Architectural works, in the material form of buildings, are often perceived as cultural symbols and as works of art. Historical civilizations are often identified with their surviving architectural achievements.
