The Telecommunications Industry
Traditional Network-Delivery is not enough for today’s myriad business applications Lets look at the traditional set up for access delivery. This is simplified, but think of the Central Office as where the internet links terminate in a certain geographical area, such as a dmark for dsl. Then the CO-LO facility is the datacenter where, you, the ISP are hosting your value added services Single point of failure at the CO as well as limited bandwidth. It requires an overhaul of the physical infrastructure. It will happen, with time, but doesn’t solve the need for redundancy and will likely come at a higher price point
4
Costs are still too high Bandwidth is still too low
Four Major Issues with Traditional Access Methods Costs are still too high Bandwidth is still too low Redundancy is a mandate Application quality is a concern (VoIP, Video, Desktop)
5
The existing solutions have limitations of their own.
Legacy solutions The existing solutions have limitations of their own.
6
MPLS: Limitations MPLS has historically been the only option for QOS, but it doesn’t solve the customer’s bandwidth or redundancy concerns.
7
Bonding: Limitations To a degree, bonding solves the bandwidth issue, but has no ability to solve the redundancy issue.
8
Load Balancing: Limitations
Load Balancing segregates traffic according to the customer’s pre-determined traffic routes, but doesn’t solve the bandwidth issue.
9
Let’s look at those again
What we like What we don’t like Bonded Speeds Denominational Bonding Single-Provider Dependence Single-Connection Application Prioritization Multiple-Provider Support False Application Redundancy Lack of Bonding Packet Prioritization Quality of Service High Price LEC Dependence No “Alternative” Route BONDING LOAD BALANCING MPLS

Dramatically increases your network speed
The Solution: Cloud Connect Cloud Connect provides customers with all of the benefits of Bonding, Load Balancing & MPLS Dramatically increases your network speed Increases reliability and eliminates failover Provides bi-directional QOS over public networks Provides a cost effective alternative to MPLS networks
13
Speed BONDING: Cloud Connect bonds the connections, delivering greater bandwidth than traditional failover AGGREGATION: Cloud Connect treats the connections as a single port meaning that downloads are not constrained to a single connection. 1.544 Mbps Mbps Mbps 10 Mbps 1 Gbps X Our flagship feature is our ability to bond the bandwidth of any combination of connections, across any number of carriers. This allows our partners to ask real business questions to their customers, and become a true partner of theirs in the delivery of an effective, tailored network. Not just a provider of a commodity, engaging in the price race to the bottom. Use example of dsl 6x.8 and unhealthy circuit of 3x.4 = 6 x.8 Ours = 9x1.2 50 Mbps

BETTER THAN STATEFUL FAILOVER: Cloud Connect detects a failed a connection within 0.3 seconds and removes it from the bond. PACKET LEVEL: Cloud Connect streams at a PACKET not SESSION-based level meaning that real time communications are immediately re-routed around outages and degradation. IMMEDIATE FAILBACK: Restored connections are added back into the bond within 0.1 seconds. Our flagship feature is our ability to bond the bandwidth of any combination of connections, across any number of carriers. This allows our partners to ask real business questions to their customers, and become a true partner of theirs in the delivery of an effective, tailored network. Not just a provider of a commodity, engaging in the price race to the bottom. Use example of dsl 6x.8 and unhealthy circuit of 3x.4 = 6 x.8 Ours = 9x1.2

23
SOME QUESTIONS
24
Do We Need to Provide the Access?
No. If we’re not providing either of the bonded legs, the system will still work, and traffic will be routed through the Internet or through NNIs to the Aggregation Server before heading out to its final destination.
25
Does the System Work with Only One Connection?
YES. BUT, bonding will not work, nor single-IP failover – so it is not recommended.
26
Handling Cloud Connect Objections
27
Cloud Connect Objection Handling: QOS / MPLS
Question: You told me that I needed an MPLS T1 to support VoIP? Don’t I need MPLS for QOS? Answer: Cloud Connect is a new technology. Software Defined Networking. While MPLS is required for QOS on a single circuit it can only prioritize packets ON THAT CIRCUIT. If the circuit is having problems, QOS really doesn’t matter. Cloud Connect takes MPLS QOS a step further by using MULTIPLE larger public connections and prioritizing across all of them. Basically, if any of the circuits are having issues, cloud connect just routes priority packets to a connection that is performing well. Consider it QOS 2.0!
28
Cloud Connect Objection Handling: No Issues
Question: I’m not having any issues with my existing connection. Answer: True. But we’re proactively reaching out because this gives you an opportunity to: Save Money DRAMATICALLY increase your bandwidth Increase your redundancy AND Improve failover
29
Cloud Connect Objection Handling: Who Do I Call?
Question: Who do I call for support? Do I have to sign agreements with the broadband service providers? Answer: Your relationship IS direct with the Internet Service provider for billing and support. HOWEVER, Cloud Connect is designed as a BUILT-TO-FAIL solution. Meaning – you often won’t notice issues with only one connection. In addition, our monitoring platforms will you when one of the connections is down so you have detailed information to share with your ISP.
30
Cloud Connect Objection Handling: What is Available?
Question: How do I know what options are available for access at my location? Answer: Most of our customer in your area are using X or Y. DIRECT CUSTOMER: If you don’t have the time to explore options yourself, we’re partnered with several broadband aggregators who will be happy to explore all of the options at your locations. I can reach out to them with location information and find out what’s available if you’d like me to do so. (Reach out to BCN with address information and desired speeds) INDIRECT CUSTOMER: If you don’t have the time to explore options yourself, I can work with our partner (sales partner name) who works with several broadband aggregators. They’d be happy to explore all of the options at your locations. I can reach out to them with location information and find out what’s available if you’d like me to do so. (Depending on the master agent, you may or may not have access to specific aggregators. You should communicate with the partner/sub to determine who you should use. Likely candidates include: BCN, Netwolves and Nitel)
31
Cloud Connect Objection Handling: Failover
Question: I currently failover from your access to a broadband connection from PROVIDER. How is this different? Answer: It’s a much more seemless transition Since ALL of the connections are used ALL the time, there actually is no failover. The connections are aggregated. So if one goes down, you’ll have less bandwidth But phones won’t re-register, desktop connections won’t go down.
32
Business Rules and Deployment Scenarios
33
Business Rules Cloud Firewall is not included In order to use Evolve IP Internet access, Cloud Firewall is required. Customer may leverage a local firewall but only in single site locations Customer may utilize Cloud Connect for exclusively PRIVATE WAN use (no firewall) but this configuration cannot support HPBX services No local firewall is required at Cloud Connect sites. Evolved Network with Internet Access Port may be used for one of the connections, but must be approved by Product Development For Evolved Office: HPBX locations, a Voice Gateway is still required but Voice Continuity service and setup is not.
34
Deployment Scenarios PUBLIC / PRIVATE
Use Cases: Any customer using HPBX, Cloud Computing, Cloud FW, Multi Site WAN, WAN ONLY Use Cases: Multi Location WAN without HPBX, Cloud FW or core FW in customer network PUBLIC Use Cases: Single Site, with local firewall, with or without voice, No WAN, No Cloud
