Statement of the Problem
What crystal will grow faster?

Research Summarize your research here in three to five significant facts: I researched the materials I needed I researched how to make the crystals I researched the procedures I Researched 2 types how to make crystals I researched what out of the two were better to make Citations (your sources of where you found the information) Include Author, Title of the work, Year published, and page #
4
Hypothesis If I make the crystals the one that is staying in room tempature will grow more then the one that is going in the fridge because it grows in heat and since it is not cooling quick it has more time to grow.

Procedure: Materials Materials: Large bowl, ice cubes, water, string, scissors, two pencils, two identical jars, cooking pot, borax, measuring cups, and plastic wrap. Procedure: First fill cooking pot with water wait till boiling. Second add one tablespoon of borax keep adding one tablespoon until the borax doesn’t dissolve. Third poor water into each jar. Fourth put one on table and other in ice (fridge). Fifth check on it every hour.

Variables Constants: The jars had pencils in them and they did not move. Controlled variables: I compare my final results to what the overall end was. Independent (manipulated) variable: I changed instead of putting the jar in ice I put it in the fridge. Dependent (measured) variable: When I changed the ice instead I put it in my fridge and it didn’t change anything.
8
Data/Observations When I checked the jars every hour the one in the fridge didn’t grow as much as much as the one in room tempature.
9
Data/Observations It is easier to understand the data if it is put into a table or graph.. Make sure all data and units are clearly labeled. Crystal in fridge Crystal not in fridge (room temp.) 1 Hour: it didn’t grow much 1 Hour: grew half way up the pencil 2 Hour: grew only 4 inches up the pencil 2 Hour: grew 3/4 up the pencil

Conclusion Type a brief summary here of what you discovered based on the results of your experiments. You need to: My hypothesis was proven the crystal in room tempature grew more. This project didn’t take to long and it was fun how I was right on my hypothesis.
