10 If you have a PE class, you will need to keep PE logs.

11 Here is a completed PE Log.
The final – and VERY important step – is to print, sign, and turn your PE Log in to Mrs. Cave in the computer lab!

12 Printing PE Logs To print your PE log, simply find the “Print Log” button, which is located just above the log periods, and click!

13 Accessing GradPoint

14 You should see the tiles of the classes in which your student is enrolled (math, PE, and some electives will not show here) - Icons for Performance Tool and Calendar - A tile for each of the classes utilizing GradPoint. - Current percentage for the class. (May not yet include work the teacher needs to grade.) - Date, time, and grade for a completed assignment and messages from teachers - Pictures correspond to class tiles and help show from which subject the assignment comes. - Past due assignments in the “To Do” list are labeled with the date they were due. -Assignments with this message are due Friday of the current week.

15 Looking at the Calendar
Starting at the home page, select the calendar icon on the far left. Select a Friday that shows blue dots which signify that assignments are due.

16 Looking at the Calendar
Assignments are given a green check as the student completes them. Any assignment without a check will be past due if not completed by that Friday evening.

17 Using the Performance Tool
In the top right hand corner of the next page, click on “SYLLABUS ORDER” to arrange the dates of assignments in chronological order. From the home page, select the performance tool and then click into the subject that you want to check.

18 Using the Performance Tool
The view on this page shows a break down of what was assigned and the date and time the student worked on it. While still on the performance page of any subject, click “Activity” from the selections along the top of the page.

19 Using the Performance Tool
* * Each class assignment is designed to take 4-5 hours per week (per subject). If a student has only spent a total of four hours on a subject by week four, chances are high that he or she is not doing well in the class. Students should read the material carefully and take notes while studying. These notes are helpful for the test at the end of the week and are used as part of the grade in many subjects.

20 ParentSquare is our new communication tool for staying in touch with students and families.
With ParentSquare, teachers can contact individuals, entire classes, or custom groups. So can school administration. ParentSquare uses text messaging as the primary contact method, but can also send s and phone calls. You can also receive attachments, have private conversations, and take surveys! Please don’t block any type of messages from the school! This is also how we will communicate emergency information!
