I’m graduating. Now what? Soon after you graduate, transfer from Student Associate to full Member and start enjoying full Member benefits! Students dues cover dues until the end of the year, even if they change to member status. All other new members need to pay dues upon joining. Join ACHE and pay $75 annual dues! Graduate! ACHE Student Associate
Join as a Student Associate for only $75 annually! That’s $6.25/month or $1.44/week. Join in September and get 16 months for $75. Get up to 5 years of Student Associate membership! It’s your choice…divide the 5 years among programs as you wish. Example: 2 years at the bachelor’s level; 3 years at the master’s level.

When should I begin my advancement?
Submit your FACHE application after you: become a full Member obtain a Master’s or other advanced degree have two years healthcare management experience If you are interested in beginning your advancement to Fellow, you must do so as a full Member. A Student Associate is not eligible to submit a Fellow application. Visit ache.org for specific details.

Leadership Mentoring Network
ACHE’s network helps to connect prospective mentors with junior executives and provides guidelines for the mentorship. The Healthcare Management Association of Massachusetts (HCMA) also offers Early Careerist Mentorship Program here in Massachusetts.

Directory of Fellowships in Health Services Administration Compensation report on Fellowships Online Employment and Career Services (e.g. ACHE Job Bank & Resume Bank) Career Counseling advice at Congress and year round ACHE offers Student Associates complimentary services to help launch their careers in healthcare management. This searchable, online career development resource features the ACHE Job Bank and Resume Bank. The Job Bank lists current positions for healthcare executives in all areas of the field. ACHE affiliates can also post their resumes in the Resume Bank and instantly be accessible to a network of potential employers—ACHE affiliates and nonaffiliates alike—through the convenience of the Internet.

Dent Graduate Student Scholarships (Minority students) Richard J Stull Student Essay Competition in Healthcare Management …Into the Future Student Associates are eligible to apply for: Student Associates are eligible to apply for scholarships offered by the Foundation of the American College of Healthcare Executives and compete in ACHE’s annual essay competition. The scholarships are available to eligible graduate students who will be entering their final year. Applications accepted between 1/1 and 3/31. Each scholarship is $3,500. ACHE invites eligible students to submit high quality essays with a focus on health management topics. Top winners in the graduate and undergraduate categories each receive $3,000; their programs receive $1,000. Second and third place winners in each category receive $2,000 and $1,000 respectively.
