6. BYOD
The three BYOD options available for new students allow them to connect to the College wireless network and mobile device management software and also provide appropriate levels of functionality to students to support their learning.

7. BYOD Option 1
Purchase your own device from a supplier organised by the College which is preinstalled with all relevant software and images.
Device options include:
Acer Travelmate Microsoft Surface Pro 4 MacBook Pro/Macbook Air

8. BYOD Option 2:
Purchase or bring your own device that has been purchased totally independently of the College, which meets the minimum connectivity and functionality requirements
Devices must have a minimum screen size of 9.7”
Devices must run either full Windows 7 (or above) or iOS 6 (or above) or Apple El Capitan (or above)
Have an advertised battery life of at least 6 hours
Built-in camera
Adequate internal storage capacity so as not to drain unnecessarily on the school Internet speed through excessive cloud transfer (100GB Minimum)
Antivirus software must be installed and up to date at all times
Students can obtain a copy of eduStar image (including Microsoft Office) through DET free of charge

9. BYOD Option 3:
Purchase a used device (out of warranty) for $50. This would be a one off charge and the netbook would no longer be owned by the College.

Compass School Manager is a school wide communication tool for all students, parents and teachers.
