An employee with the ability to do the job (when the right supports and reasonable accommodations are in place) Good timekeeping and attendance Initial Job Coach Support at the level required Clarity in relation to the reasonable accommodation required Support with addressing difficult workplace issues if and when they arise Support from an organisation that understands the framework employers must operate within

Comprehensive Employment Strategy 2015 - 2024
Will be implemented through a series of 3 year action plans Statutory target of 3% of employees with disabilities in public sector to be at 6% by 2024 Government funded Employer helpline to provide support and guidance to employers Expansion of Internships and Work Placement opportunities – NDA, DSP DSP promoting grants, schemes, and services Public service special competitions Involvement from Chambers Ireland, IBEC, ICTU, NDA – employer peer support Enterprise Ireland and Entrepreneurs with Disabilities
