COUNTABLE Separate objects, people or concepts. We can count countable objects. They are separated objects Examples: dog, apple, chair….. They have both a singular and a plural form The apple is very nice We can use the article «a/an» in the singular: They passed me a sandwich We use some only in the plural: Can I have some chairs?

2 We cannot count countable objects. They are not separated objects
UNCOUNTABLE Materials, liquid, concepts, collections, mass objects without boundaries We cannot count countable objects. They are not separated objects Examples: sugar, butter, milk, water, salt, pasta They only have a singular form and we use a singular verb The pasta is very nice We cannot use the article «a/an» : He served me a pasta (NO!) We use some: Can I have some pasta?
