However, in recent times it has also been performed upon request even the childbirths could have been natural. In 2010, the WHO reported that in China , 46% babies are born by caesarean .In fact, the WHO estimates that only 15 percent of deliveries require a C-section. A lot of women opt for C-section for non-medical reasons.
