A C-section was usually performed when a natural delivery would be dangerous. However, in recent times it has also been performed upon request even the childbirths could have been natural. In 2010, the WHO reported that in China , 46% babies are born by caesarean .In fact, the WHO estimates that only 15 percent of deliveries require a C-section. A lot of women opt for C-section for non-medical reasons.
