2. Brief Introduction on QQ
QQ, a kind of common IM (instant messaging) software, is becoming more and more popular in China, and can be used by anyone around the world. And most importantly it is FREE.
It can be used as an instant chat tool between two people or among a group of people. It can also be used to send files (all kinds of files) or folders to your friends either online or offline. Any file size can be sent BUT it takes sometime (it depends on your internet speed)

3. When you want to install QQ software and register a QQ number (account) , click this website
You may learn how to use it step by step as follows.

4. Step 1: Download QQ instant chat tool - click free download “for PC” if your operating system is a PC; otherwise, click “for Mac”

5. Step 2: Sign up

6. Use your email as login, fill in the required frames one by one

7. Step 3: The system informs you that activation email has been sent to your email.

8. Step 4: Go to your email box to click the link to activate your account.

9. Step 5: Then the system tells your QQ number is XXXXXXXXXX
Step 5: Then the system tells your QQ number is XXXXXXXXXX. Click “Log in QQ”

10. Step 6: Login
You can see the instant chat tool appear. The upper number is your account. Input your password in the lower blank frame and login.

12. Step 7: Invite friends
Search friends by clicking the icon Search shown at lower right, then a frame (below) will appear. Input your friend’s account number or nickname and click Search. Write your request information and then wait for your friends’ response.

13. Step 8: If you have added friends and got their responses, then your QQ will show the list of your friends (shown at right). Click the icon of the one whom you want to chat with, then you can see the following dialogue frame below.

14. Step 9: You can have instant chat and send files if your friends are online (shown below), and send messages or files to them even they are offline. They can get your messages after they login their QQ.
