How our system handles credit cards:
Customer order is input on Point of Sale software
Customer-facing credit card terminal asks for swipe
Customer swipes their credit card. The credit card data is point to point encrypted and sent to the processor from the credit card terminal
Pathway POS checks the credit card terminal if transaction is approved/declined
Once approved, Pathway POS software displays message “APPROVED” on screen and prints the last 4 digits of the credit card number on the receipt
Absolutely NO credit card numbers or data are stored on our system
