Writing with a pencil in your hand without friction, it would slip out when you tried to hold it to write. The graphite led pencil will not make a mark on the paper without friction.
A pencil eraser uses friction to rub off mistakes written in pencil.

Your car wouldn’t start moving without friction, if it wasn’t for the friction of the tires against the street. With no friction, the tires would just spin. Like wise, you couldn’t stop without the friction of the brakes and tires.

Rolling friction- a force that slows down the motion of a rolling object along a surface. This is usually less than the force of sliding friction.

Static friction- Force applied to an object but does not cause the object to move. The forces are balanced.

Fluid friction is when a body moves in a fluid or in air then there exist a resistive force which slows down the motion of the body, known as fluid frictional force.
