13. Offers a 2 week Pre-employment Training Programme.
Care First Careers
‘Care First Careers’ forms part of the Jobcentre Plus ‘Routes into Work’ programme.
Offers a 2 week Pre-employment Training Programme.
The PET programme has been developed in conjunction with employers and Sector Skills Council. In return we ask the employer to guarantee interviews for our customers.
In Wales, approx 35 courses run to date, with over 450 customers having taken part.
Due end March 2011 when the new ‘Work Programme’ will commence.

Small Business Recruitment Service
In February 2010 the Small Business Recruitment Service was introduced to improve levels of service Jobcentre Plus provides to small businesses, in particular generating stronger recruitment support.
The development of this service has been taken forward in partnership with Federation of Small Businesses, British Chambers of
Commerce and Chartered Institute
of Personnel and Development.

16. Rapid Response Service (RRS)
If you are considering making redundancies, Jobcentre Plus may also be able to provide support and advice for you and your employees.
The RRS is delivered by Jobcentre Plus, skills bodies, development agencies and local authorities.
RRS aims to deliver support to those who are vulnerable to - or affected by - redundancy.
This includes identifying transferable skills, job-related training, and support to take up a new job, e.g. help with initial travel or childcare costs.
