6. How we learn now Since 2001 schools have undergone a quite revolution:
Technology has been a part of student’s learning with tools like IWB, laptop trolleys, iPads and other mobile devices, interactive tables, etc. while many traditional universities ignored this trend in the beginning and are only now catching up.

Students are more tech savvy than most of their academics
Are used to get immediate answers or seek immediate responses to questions
They have access to ways to compare and evaluate information quickly.
They expect information to be relevant, accurate and easy to find
They use their social “network” to seek advice

10. What challenges are coming our way
They value good IT infrastructure
They value good service
They will find it difficult to adapt to a world that is out of sync with the way they work and interact
They work better in an informal environment
They need to be connected
Their day is not 9 to 5

Need to understand and appropriately provide guidelines for the use of social media
