1 What visa will I receive and who is covered?
The Irish Investor Programme (IIP) was established in 2012 to stimulate productive investment in Ireland and to offer residency in Ireland with its associated advantages to dynamic business and now has a proven success record. What is the minimum investment amount and duration, and what net worth is required? €1,000,000 is the minimum investment. The applicant will only need to invest after the application is approved. €2,000,000 is the minimum net worth required to qualify. The proof required to support the source of your funds is minimal. The minimum investment time is 3 years, but many projects may require that you invest your money for 4-5 years. Is my investment safe? Yes, our team will examine each project in detail and make sure that strong collateral is provided to guarantee the return of your money. The projects are also reviewed by the Irish Immigration Evaluation committee (e.g. Ireland Enterprise) and get approved before the money is invested. What visa will I receive and who is covered? Permanent residency permission from the outset of the investment for the investor and their family for dependent children up to 24 years old. The visa is valid initially for 2 years and will then be renewed for 3 years if the investment is kept in the Project. After the third year there are no more conditions attached and the visa will subsequently be renewed every 5 years. What are the main benefits of the IIP? The children are entitled to free education in Ireland up to University and to free university after three years of residency. The visa holders are not expected to live in Ireland and are only required to visit at least one day in every 12 month period. What criteria are considered when confirming the visa conditions at the end of the term? No criminal record. The individual is self sufficient and does not become a burden on the Irish state. The investment was completed at the out set of the project and retained for at least 3 years and this is whether the company was successful or not. Will I be able to retain my permanent residency after the investment term and when can I apply for citizenship? Yes, you will be able to retain the permanent residency after your investment term. You can seek citizenship after 5 years if you stayed in Ireland. Irish passport holders also receive settlement status in UK and are allowed to live, study, and work in the UK with no limits.
