9
About Cuvee 1880 Grand Marnier Cuvée 1880: Rationale:
Cuvée 1880 commemorates and pays homage to the year that the world renowned brand, Grand Marnier was created by founder Louis Alexandre Marnier Lapostolle. Grand Marnier Cuvée 1880 is a distinctive blend of aged, premium Grande Champagne Cognac XO and wild tropical orange parfum. Following the celebrated products such as Grand Marnier Cuvée du Centenaire (100th), and Quintessence, Cuvée 1880 is a beautiful expression that offers bolder Cognac tasting notes with hints of orange essence. The elegant design found on the bottle is inspired by the Belle Époque period and Art Nouveau era, which was popular in Paris during the late 19th century. Rationale: Offer a premium trade up to the Grand Marnier Cuvée du Centenaire (100th) via packaging & liquid/formula GM 150th formula was not differentiated enough from Grand Marnier 100thto justify higher price point Cuvée is distinctive blend of aged, premium Cognacs and wild tropical orange parfum, however with significantly less sugar and orange parfum when compared to Grand Marnier 100th which results in a more Cognac forward taste profile The pricing of Cuvée 1880 is at a premium to Grand Marnier 100thwith a price point of $349.99; (GM 100th is priced at $199)
10
About Cuvee 1880 Tasting Notes:
Color: Deep amber color with hints of copper. Aroma: The initial sensation is of the fine Cognac notes, followed by the aromas of dried apricot, hazelnut and oak which finish with a subtle fragrance of orange essence. Taste: Very powerful and complex Cognac forward notes with significant hints of orange flavors. Finish: The finish is very aromatic, yet results in a balanced assembly of older Cognacs, orange and dried fruit. Enjoy: Neat or on the rocks.

About Quintessence Quintessence:
First introduced in 2011 in limited quantities, Quintessence is made with the most precious Cognac from the private reserves of the Marnier Lapostolle family. Cellar Master Patrick Raguenaud carefully selects very rare Cognacs coming exclusively from Grande Champagne, the most prestigious growing area of Cognac. He then blends these outstanding eaux-de-vie with very old Cognac from the family Paradis, their private cellar, which includes Cognacs that date back to 1906. This rare and unique blend of Cognacs is then combined with unique double distilled orange essence resulting from a time honored secret production process. Instead of being macerated in neutral alcohol, oranges are macerated in a very aromatic orange essence before being distilled. The blend of Cognac and orange essence is then aged in French oak casks, so that the flavors can mature together; reach the perfect balance and the quintessential taste. Blend of Cognacs is aged up to 100+ years.

What is happening with Cuvee du Cinquatenaire – 150th Anniversary?
Cuvee du Cinquantenaire is being phased out due to lack of liquid differentiation from Cuvee du Centennaire Liquid, while fantastic, is not differentiated enough to justify price differential versus 100th Anniversary Once current inventory is depleted, product will no longer be available Cuvee 1880 is positioned between 100th Anniversary and Quintessence to replace this product
