In First Grade, we strive to plan and design meaningful and engaging work for all of our students. We teach to the TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge & Skills) as mandated by the state. Parents can visit the TEA website to see our First Grade TEKS and requirements. Look for the Peek of the Week every Monday to know what we are learning each week!

11 Grades Report Cards will go home every 9-weeks
Progress Reports will go home in between each grading period. Students will receive numerical grades in math, science, and social studies. We will take 1-2 grades per week in each subject area, this will usually be a daily grade and assessment grade.

12 Grades Grades are weighted as follows: Assessments: 20%
Daily Work: 75% Homework: 5%

14 Grades Student daily work is to be done during class.
Once an assessment is graded, if your child has below a 70%, their teacher will re-teach and re-assess for the chance to make a 70%. The new grade will be change in the grade book.
