5. Masculine Endings (el ) (the article “la” tells you gender)
Gender of nouns:
All nouns have gender. (They are either masculine or feminine)
With nouns that refer to living things:
Most nouns that refer to males have masculine nouns.
Most nouns that refer to females have feminine nouns.
When nouns refer to non living things follow these general rules. (remember there are always exceptions to the rule, so nouns are taught with the article el or la)
