3 Coastal Plains Location: Eastern most TX along the Gulf of Mexico
Natural Resources: Trees, many rivers, fertile soil, grasslands, lakes, most rainfall, fish, largest region, oil, natural gas Major cities: Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, Houston, Galveston, Corpus Christi, Brownsville, Laredo

4 Coastal Plains cont. Physical features: completely flat to rolling hills Economy: Lumbering, wood products, farming, ranching, oil refining, shipping, fishing industry Crops: Cotton, rice, fruits, vegetables, corn, peanuts, pecans, watermelons, peaches, Christmas trees

6 North Central Plains Location: North TX between the Coastal Plains and Great Plains along the Red River Natural Resources: Grasslands, brush, good rainfall, oil, natural gas Major Cities: Fort Worth, Abilene, San Angelo, Wichita Falls

9 Great Plains Location: Central TX between the North Central Plains and the Mountains and Basins extending from the Panhandle to the Rio Grande River Natural Resources: Vast grasslands, oil, natural gas Major Cities: Amarillo, Lubbock, Midland, Odessa
