1 GDA PROFILE The Gulf Downstream Association (GDA) is a “brainchild” and established by its founding members from Saudi Aramco, Kuwait Petroleum International, Bahrain Petroleum Company and Kuwait National Petroleum Company. GDA is a non- profit organization aiming to bring Downstream players together to further develop the industry and draw benefits from knowledge sharing and best practices. In August 2016, during its first meeting, GDA’s Board was formalized. Few months thereafter, in November 2016, the Board has nominated/selected its Secretary General. GDA’s Headquarter is located at the GBCORP’s Building of Bahrain’s high profile Financial Harbor. G D A About

3 GDA PROFILE Mission Vision
To create a platform to support the growth of the downstream industry to help improve the industry in terms of efficiency, competencies of the workforce, and sustainability. GDA will achieve this by becoming a premier association in the region that connects the downstream companies, service providers, governmental organizations, academic institutions and the larger industry through conferences and events like Middle East Petrotech. GDA will help disseminate knowledge, promote best practices, spur innovation and lead dialogue on policy development. To be internationally recognized association that serves as a catalyst for a strong and sustainable growth of the downstream industry by promoting collaboration amongst all individuals and organizations associated with the downstream industry in addition to the development of policies and ecosystem to support the sustainable growth of the downstream industry. 5 VALUE ADDED PROPOSITION
Access to GDA’s portal for capturing Downstream developments and news in the region and a depository of publications and knowledge sharing material (including a databank of best in class operational practices, directory of members, media news, links and updates related to the industry). Access to a physical technical library within GDA’s offices in Bahrain and facilitating access and contacts between members within the association. Conducting a multiple of technical and leadership events (industrial site-visits, workshops and seminars) related to the industry and latest developments. Share knowledge and experience, benchmarking and adopting best practices, both regionally and internationally for Downstream sustainability. Connecting the industry, and members, with the invaluable resources of retires for the benefit of the community and to ensure the Sharing of Knowledge concept is continuous. Facilitate and enhance communication within its members and foster good relations with other global industries and associations. Provide a voice and choice for the industry members to strengthen the three pillars of strategy: Industry, Government and Education (including Academia and Scholars).

8 TECHNICAL COMMITTEES The Gulf Downstream Association (GDA) Technical Committees serve as the platform of the Association’s mandate to facilitate interaction with industry leaders and expert, and collaboration of its members to help strategically grow the Downstream business and improve performance. The Technical Committees will be established for sharing of non-proprietary information, as well as organizing workshops and seminars on specific topics of interest to further enhance performance of the facilities/businesses across the membership of the GDA.
