2 Recap of Scholix benefits see: www.Scholix.org
For data repositories and journal publishers linking data and the literature will increase their visibility and usage can support additional services to improve the user experience on online platforms More scalable and robust due to a global standard rather than bilateral agreements For research institutes, bibliographic service providers, and funding bodies the infrastructure will enable advanced bibliographic services and productivity assessment tools track datasets and journal publications within a common and comprehensive framework For researchers: Easier finding and accessing relevant articles and data sets track long-term impact of their data (and publications) thereby providing additional incentives to share data.

3 Publisher example: Why is Elsevier supporting Scholix
Three important reasons: We have more than 60 bilateral agreements and methods in place with datacenters and repositories We collect a lot of information about article-data linking about repositories that we do not have agreements with We are working with institutions to improve their Research Data Management practices, as part of our overall RDM iniatitive replace with standardized Scholix approach Represent and validate additional article-data links in a standardized approach Scholix is a great way to represent article-data relations for institutions that we work with

4 As a publisher, if you are interested – what to do?
Easy / start now) You can contribute your article-data references to CrossRef or DataCite using their metadata API feeds (see the usual CrossRef and DataCite documentation) Easy / also available) You can expose your article-data references in a Scholix-compliant way Forthcoming) You can use the Scholix DLI service to showcase article-data relationships post-publication Long term) you can export article-data relationships before publication (replace the full data linking flow)
