Base team – Rough Sleepers centre Mobile teams – all other centres

Mobile Teams Teams of 2-3 volunteers
Provide outreach service to guests in all other centres Carry out eye tests on site Mobile testing equipment (on loan from The Outside Clinic) Refer guests who need further testing to base

CC Policies & Procedures
1. Please follow agreed policies 2. Follow health & safety guidelines 3. Complete Opticians form for each guest 4. Maintain high standards in paperwork Manual in the base will have a copy of the Opticians Info Sheet, CC policies & Volunteer Handbook

Important points to remember
Bring a copy of most recent registration certificate/insurance to first shift Bring additional layers of clothing Bring only small amounts of money Bring your sense of humour!

Be flexible & work as a team Turn up for your shifts Arrive on time Dress in comfortable, warm clothes Please do not give money to our guests

What happens on your first shift
Present a copy of your shift confirmation Your name ticked off shift list Get your services badge Report to the shift office Ask for the Services Liaison 16

A key volunteer on each shift Member of the shift team The liaison between the services & the shift team Support for you during the shift
