4 Senioritis is a debilitating disease that affects high school seniors – symptoms include, but are not limited to tardiness for class, indifference, just plain laziness, and even leaving your backpack in the car from 3:00p-8:00a the next day.

5 No Time to Waste… This is all you have left 1 school year… 180 days
25 days have already gone by! 180 days from August 15, 2016… February 11, 2017! This is all they have left… 360 school days! Less than 1 calendar year remaining and they will be ADULTS.

4 English credits – English 1,2,3, and 4 4 Math credits – including Algebra I and Geometry 3 Science credits – including Biology & a Physical Science 3 Social Studies credits – including World History, American History, Government/Economics 1 Performing/Fine Arts credit ½ credit p.e./ ½ credit Personal Fitness 8 elective credits

2.0 overall G.P.A. - GPA’s do not round up Pass Reading FCAT Pass Algebra 1 EOC Take one online class 2 credits of the same Foreign Language are required for college entrance and bright futures scholarships

17 GPA Calculation… Any grade below a ‘C’ is not earning a
A = 4 points B = 3 points C = 2 points D = 1 point F = 0 points Your total points are added and divided but the number of classes taken Any grade below a ‘C’ is not earning a high enough GPA to graduate from high school!

19 How do they make up a credit(s) needed for graduation?
APEX lab – either during the school day or after school ULearning – the old ELearning Florida Virtual School – Counselors will be reviewing your credits with your student to make sure they have everything they need to graduate. Parent are welcome to their student’s counselor to arrange a meeting.

All state of Florida Universities applications are online. Go to the website for the University you want to apply and go to the admissions link. University of Florida has a new website The Common Application: An online undergraduate college application accepted by over 400 independent colleges.

$103 per semester hour for 120 hours 3.5 weighted GPA based on 16 core classes including: 4 English, 4 Math, 3 Science, 3 Social Studies, 2 Foreign Language 1290 SAT - Reading and Math combined 29 ACT composite 100 hours community service – application opens December 1, 2015 – must apply during senior year of high school

$77 per semester hour 3.0 weighted GPA based on 16 core classes 1170 SAT combined Reading and Math 26 ACT composite 75 hours of community service

31 Bright Futures – Gold Seal
The Florida Gold Seal Vocational Scholars (GSV) can only be used to fund a career in education or certificate program. Graduate from high school with a Standard Diploma Achieve the required weighted minimum 3.0 GPA in the non-elective high school courses Take at least 3 full credits in a single Career and Technical Education program Achieve the required minimum 3.5 unweighted GPA in the career education courses ACT/SAT/PERT scores Complete 30 community service hours
