Pre-Game Field Preparations
Put up tarps on dugouts for shade/privacy Sweep out the dugouts Set up scorers table and chairs, umbrella? Room for 3? Scorer, announcer, pitch counter Set up public address system Set up music for pre-game Cue the National Anthem Put up the American Flag Take out your copy of the league safety plan Fill ice/water coolers for dugouts, with cups Field prep: water, drag, line, bases

Pre-Game TD Preparations
As managers arrive, flip coin for home/away, or dugout assignment (winner’s choice) Collect 2 game balls from each manager Collect Affidavit books, check pitching record Collect line-ups from managers, with first and last names (pronunciations), numbers, positions Ask about player’s league pin exchange Find out if any league presidents or District44 staff are in attendance* Help with inspection of equipment (bats, helmets, catchers gear). Get to work on your announcements

Pre-Game Announcements
Find non-player to lead the LL pledge. If Championship game, make sure you have the post-game awards (banner & medals). 30 Minutes before game time, Visitors takes infield. 20 Minutes before game time, Home takes infield. 10 Minutes before game time, introduce managers and coaches first, have them go to the mound. Introduce players, alternating one from each team. Introduce coaches, managers, dignitaries* and umpires. Play the Anthem, and lead the LL pledge. Ask managers to meet umpires at home plate.

Game Time Announcements
Announce each batter, as they approach the batters box (Announce whoever walks up, not what the lineup says) Announce pitching changes Between half-innings: Announce the score Announce the pitch count Fill-in announcements (as time allows) Play music (if convenient) At the end of the game, announce the final score, and where each team plays next. If elimination game, ask the crowd for a big hand for the exiting team.

Game Time TD Activities
Control the crowds, keep them off the field Get water for your umpires Assist your scorekeeper and announcer (as needed) to keep track of pitches thrown and visits to the mound Start working on your game summary

Post Game TD Duties Update and sign pitching records
Ask umpires to sign scorebook (or you do it) Return affidavit books to managers REPORT THE SCORE ASAP!! Text: or Include date, division, both teams (leagues) with final score. E.g.: “6/18 Major TOC game result: SC Homestead A’s 3, Tri-Cities Giants 2” “7/4 11YO All Stars: SV Southern def. SV Serra 8-4” Write up game recap and to Report any ejections to Mark Teagle and also include them in game recap

Post-Game Field Duties
Put away bases, water coolers, flags, cones, PA system etc. Rake out home plate, and pitching mound. Water as needed.

Coin flip at least 1 hour before game time Follow TD directions regarding warm-ups / wiffles Deliver Affidavits and pitching eligibility (even for TOC’s) to TD Deliver 2 RS-T game balls to TD (extras if you want HR balls) Lay out equipment for check by TD/umpires Provide TD/announcer with lineups – Help with pronunciations Proof of bat eligibility Post-Game Responsibilities Patronize the snack shack – No outside team snacks Collect signed Affidavits and pitching eligibility forms from TD

Single-elimination No pooling of players from other teams Regular season Green Book rules (no local league rules) Forfeit if unable to field 9 – No time for reschedules

All-Stars Double-elimination for Intermediate, Juniors, Seniors
12’s, 11’s, and 10’s: 4-game pool tournament Green Book pages 2 home, 2 away games Neutral/neighboring league-provided umpires Top 2 teams advance to double-elimination “Final 4” Green Book Tournament rules (pages ) Forfeit if unable to field 9 – No time for reschedules
