Please encourage your child to read each day SATs Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar Revision at Chronological Reports When Jessie Came Across the Sea by Amy Hest Discuss the features of chronological report writing, revise punctuation and study past tenses including the perfect form and active/passive voices. Write an article, a sister story and a biography. Cricket Information Texts Exploring information texts for inspiration (‘Dragonology’, ‘The Secrets of Stonehenge’ and ‘The First Drawing’.) and writing information texts about their own mythological creature. Gymnastics Science Computing Light Recognise that light appears to travel in straight lines. Use the idea that light travels in straight lines to explain that objects are seen because they give out of reflect light into the eye. Explain that we see things because light travels from light sources to our eyes to from light sources to objects and then to our eyes. Use the idea that light travels in straight lines to explain why shadows have the same shape as the objects that cast them.
