3. Multimodal Level of Service Database
A system that allows us to grade road sections A-F on the level of service provided to pedestrians and cyclists
The database contents have been updated to conditions

Data is tied to ArcGIS and is displayed visually on a map
Roadways are broken into sections, usually from intersection to intersection, then graded.

7. How it works
To generate the grades, the formula takes into account more than a dozen unique criteria.
These individual criteria include info like:
Presence of sidewalk along road
How close sidewalk is to the road
How wide the sidewalk is
If there is a barrier separating the sidewalk from the road
Speed and amount of traffic on road

Use information to strengthen grant applications for safe routes to schools
