23 OJT Guidelines Training period can range from 6 weeks to 26 weeks
Employers are required to hire new workers and train them Trainees are placed in positions that will enhance long term employment opportunities Permanent employment upon successful completion of training Employers will be reimbursed for the hours the OJT employee worked at the conclusion of each month of training. 6 This is a great way to achieve expected results for our Veterans Program. 1) Program provides a permanent position 2) Great way to track and keep up with DVOP case management 3) May provide a higher paying position that will increase our average wage. 4) Provides better retention numbers

24 How will these services benefit employers?
Employers receive up to 75% reimbursement of trainees’ hourly wages Employers make all the hiring decisions Employers tailor all training Employers save recruiting, screening, and training costs Length of training is negotiable (6-26 weeks) Minimal Paperwork for the employer Increased cash flow and profits No cost for OJT Services – FREE!!! 11
