Key changes: All staff must read and understand Part 1 Role of and training for Designated Safeguarding Leads Training includes at least annual update with an increased focus on peer-on peer abuse, on-line safety and Early Help Implications for safer recruitment: Enhanced DBS checks for governors Prohibition from teaching check for all engaged in a teaching role Agency staff - requirement to confirm identity and relevant checks for that person 13
