Fees & Fines $ $ $ $ All fines, debts, and other financial obligations must be cleared by December 9, All library fines, debts, and other library obligations- Please go to our media center to check on any textbook or library fees/fines from RHS or prior schools. You may pay in the library.

Fees & Fines $ $ $ $ Graduation Fees/Dues - Please pay the $20 if you have not done so go online - RHS website – parent tab- online payment – mid-year graduate. Outstanding Parking Fees - please see Mrs. Davenport in the front office to pay Money will not be accepted at graduation practice. Graduation guest tickets and diplomas will not be issued to students who have outstanding balances of any kind.

Exam Exemption Seniors should prepare seriously for all exams. For some, it could make the difference between graduating and not graduating. Final exams count between 20% (non EOC) and 25% (EOC) of final grades. Seniors may be exempt from NON EOC final exams only, if they meet the following criteria: A average with 3 or fewer excused absences per semester B average with 2 or fewer excused absences per semester C average with 1 or fewer excused absences per semester

Exam Exemption Seniors are permitted (2) college visits per year. Additional days missed due to visiting a college campus on “College Days” will be considered an absence. Attendance will be calculated per class period. A student must be present for at least ½ of the period (45 minutes) to be considered present. Seniors cannot be exempt from any EOC, CTE Post Exams or NC Final Exams.

Graduation Etiquette and Attire
The faculty and staff of Rolesville High School want to make graduation a most memorable experience. We ask for your full cooperation with the dress code. Caps and gowns are ceremonial attire and should be worn accordingly. (Any student, due to circumstances or extreme hardship, who cannot acquire the necessary items to meet the dress code requirements should contact Student Services) Seniors are required to wear graduation attire at the following events: Graduation Ceremony: January 26, 2017

Graduation Etiquette and Attire
Cap and gowns should be worn in a dignified way. Gowns should be neatly pressed and wrinkle-free. Caps are always worn straight on the head without a tilt. LADIES: Wear simple lightweight dresses or dark dress slacks/skirts (black/navy) and black shoes. Dresses should not hang below the gown. Ladies should wear shoes with a low heel. Do not wear sandals, flip-flops, tennis shoes, strapless shoes, or colorful hosiery. Please wear minimal jewelry.

Graduation Etiquette and Attire
GENTLEMEN: Wear Dark dress slacks, white dress shirt, dark dress tie, black dress socks and black dress shoes. (No cowboy boats, sandals, flip flops, tennis shoes, topsidders, etc) *Tassels should be worn over the right temple. Those wearing inappropriate attire will not be allowed to participate. No exceptions, No excuses!!

Graduation Practice Attire: dress comfortably, do not wear caps & gowns to practice. Girls should bring the shoes they plan on wearing on graduation day to practice walking across the stage. Behavior: Graduation practice and ceremony are both school-related activities and students are expected to adhere to the WCPSS Student Code of Conduct outlined in the WCPSS Student handbook. Students who do not behave appropriately will not be allowed to participate in the graduation ceremony. Tickets: Graduation tickets will be distributed during practice. Each graduate will receive 8 guest admission tickets.

Graduation Arrival: Student should report no later than 5:30 pm.
Doors will open at 6:00 pm guest to enter. All guests will be required to wait outside until the doors open. Time: The allotted time for the ceremony is 1 hour Attire: Students should arrive dressed in the appropriate graduation attire. Parent/student/guest reception held immediately after the ceremony in the 1st floor cafeteria area

Graduation Extra Items: Students should not bring extra items to the graduation ceremony. (No electronic devices, cell phones, purses, keys, cameras, etc. These items cannot be secured during the ceremony.) Diplomas: Students will receive diploma covers as they cross the stage. Diplomas will be issued immediately following the ceremony in front of the main gym. Diplomas will not be issued to seniors who display inappropriate behavior at any time during the ceremony. Students who have their diplomas held due to inappropriate behavior will have to make an appointment to meet with, Mrs. Lassiter, the School Principal to receive it.

Graduation Guests: Each senior will receive 8 guest tickets for the graduation ceremony. Each ticket admits (1) person into the facility (no matter what age). The only reserved sections are the seating for seniors and faculty.

Prohibited Items: balloons, camera bags, book bags/backpacks, glass containers, food/drink, noise makers, wrapped packages of any kind, or any items similar to those listed above. Flowers wrapped in tissue paper are allowed inside the building. Intoxicated individuals will not be allowed to enter the school building.
