Broad field of medical practices related to physical activity and sport primarily focusing on: Performance enhancement Injury Care Injury prevention Multidisciplinary Physiological, biomechanical, psychological and pathological phenomena associated with exercise and sport Clinical goal: improving and maintaining functional capacities for physical activity Defined by ACSM as multidisciplinary
