2 Lesson Introduction Given the Quality Assurance (QA) curriculum requirements, the student will be able to identify qualifications and certifications necessary to perform Quality Assurance Specialist (QAS) duties.

Identify QAS actions to support First Line Supervisor (FLS) in the competency assessment process. Identify key areas of the Training Competency Assessment Tool (TCAT) eTool. Identify QAS qualifications for accepting products/services on behalf of the U.S. Government. Lesson 4: Safety Stock

9 DAWIA Requirements DAWIA Level II certification via Defense Acquisition University (DAU) training is a condition of employment Current DAU courses for DAWIA certification: Production, Quality, and Manufacturing (PQM) career field for QA personnel Engineering (formerly Systems, Planning, Research, Development, and Engineering) career field for Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) personnel

21 CL – Professional Certifications from American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification training points count toward CLPs Started in FY11 with QA field nominees for Certified Quality Technician (CQT) program Must pass certification exam and receive professional credentials DCMA supports certifications which are a mark of professionalism throughout industry
