3 What is the World of Logic
The problem: what is the world of logic Russell: Logic is concerned with the real world just as truly as zoology, though with its more abstract and general features. But what are more abstract and general features of the world? Logic as consisting of tautologies. Frege: Logic is concerned with the predicate “true” Frege’s semantics of sentences: the True and the False as references (senses) of sentences.

Example: p  p  q. 1  (1  0), 0  (0  1), 0  (0  0) and 0  (0  1). p  r  q. A  A  B as the way out. “Dual” logic w(A  B) = 1 wtw w(A) = w(B) = 0; otherwise w(A  B) = 0. A  B  A. 1 as the distinguished values.
