Pastor Justin Culbertson 13 November 2016 2 Cor. 5:17-21

2 Corinthians 5:11-17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.

2 Corinthians 5:11-17 (cont.) Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

In Christ Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. John 14:6 – “I am the way, the truth, and the life…” John 10:30 – “I and the Father are one.”

In Christ God not only sees us as holy (in Christ) but is making us holy (becoming more like Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit). We are together this new creation – a new community focused on reconciling to God and each other. John 10:30 – “I and the Father are one.”
6
In Christ He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? Micah 6:8
7
All this is from God “All means all and that’s all all means.”
It means that someone looks at a situation, knows it isn’t their fault, and does everything they can to make it right anyway, because that’s what Christ did for me.
8
All this is from God And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28
