Program Level – Evidenced-based practices – Focus on Behavioral Healthcare & Housing First Individual Level – Interdisciplinary – Complex issues of poverty, health, substance use/abuse, mental health, criminology, populations, recovery, hope Student Expectations: Readings, Class participation, field experiences, observations, journals, essays, comparative analysis, and meeting new Irish friends along the way.

6 Ireland Study Abroad Ireland – Global Behavioral Healthcare – Focus on Homelessness in the United States, Ireland and Europe/Canada (MHS 4931 & MHS 6900) The readings were chosen to give the students a framework for understanding the similarities and differences on how the U.S. and Ireland approach “ending or eliminating” homelessness. They include policy level principles, strategic plans, leading models, target populations and actions at the local level. All readings are posted on CANVAS and printed Students have required Pre-travel & optional readings
