This can lead to serious consequences for the native plants and the consumers that depend on them for food.

Sewage, wastes from homes & factories, animal wastes
from farms, & fertilizers can be disposed of in rivers,
lakes, & oceans.

12. 9) What are the effects of sewage & animal wastes in aquatic systems?
Eutrophication
Sewage & animal wastes act as fertilizer & increase
the growth of aquatic producers (very rapid).
