3. Injection moulding is the most commonly used manufacturing process for the fabrication of plastic parts. A wide variety of products are manufactured using injection moulding, which vary greatly in their size, complexity, and application.

5. The plastic injection mould or mould tool (in American the term mold is used instead) is the center of the process. Here the molten plastic material is shaped to the intended form and cooled before ejected as a finished part.
