Background Many existing SPGs in country, low stove production
Lack of linkages to reliable market – major factor of sustained production Several NGOs targeting same communities with same or different types of cleaner stoves Inadequate coordination, partnerships and lesson sharing at site of implementation

Has over 40 SPGs in Mulanje and Phalombe Most of them inactive Working with MMCT to revive SPGs Has a network of sales agents for solar lanterns in Tea growing areas

to improve tea sustainability, the lives and livelihoods of tea workers and smallholder farmers, and the environment in which tea is produced. Synergy case study… UP implementing two cookstove projects that cover the whole southern region Both projects aim to create and support rural value chains for the Chitetezo Mbaula, using different, but complimentary approaches. Nearly 40,000 SCT beneficiaries targeted in MJ, PE, TO 120,000 stove sales target in southern region
