They leaned the tree trunks together to form a frame there was a hole for a door and covered the rest with branches, bark, and animal hides.

5 traditions One of the Ute Indians traditions is the Bear Dance. This legend is about a bear waking up from a long winters nap. Then the bear taught a dance to a Ute man. Then the man taught the dance to all his people. Ute Indians Dance to it every spring.

6 Interesting facts Some interesting facts about the Ute Indians is that they have lived in Colorado longer than any other group of people. The Utes used animal skins to make dresses, skirts and, leggings. They also made blankets out of animal fur. They decorated their clothing with colorful beads. ;
