Institutional Environment
Second lowest adult student population among state universities Recruited second fewest Community College transfer students Limited institutional online programs High student retention Declining enrollments Constricted budget Solid academic reputation Tennessee Tech should increase adult and online enrollment through high quality degree programs in areas where the industry need and institutional strength meet.

Online vs. Adult Education
Online and Adult Education are not the same. Why we reference both? While greater numbers of traditional students are taking online courses, many use them to supplement their campus based F2F programs. The higher concentration of adults in fully online programs reflects more than just preference or convenience, it’s the only way they can access higher education. Adult Students comprise 77% of enrollments at online only institutions.
