Switzerland is a land locked country with Germany to the North, France to the West, Italy to the South , and Austria & Liechtenstein

Tourist Attractions The Swiss Alps: are a big tourist attraction because of their beautiful sites and the long hike Lausanne: is a big tourist attraction with all of the beaches and lakes around this area Chillon Castle: located on lake Geneva this castle with one hundred buildings is the most famous castle in Switzerland

Holidays, Special Events
Swiss National Day: celebrated on August 1st since 1994. Stephen’s Day: celebrated on December 26th also know as Stephanstag in German. Whit Monday: also known as the Monday of holy spirit. It is the holiday celebrated after Pentecost. Swiss National Day

Special Greetings/ Customs
The only uniformity in Switzerland lies in the mailboxes and the soldiers uniforms A very big part in Swiss culture is to shake every persons hand that you see or meet while looking them in the eye

Type of Currency and Hotels
The type of currency used is the Swiss franc. The exchange rate between one franc and one U.S dollar is: 1 U. dollar= franc Hilton Basel hotel in Aeschengraben, Switzerland, the hotel Presiddent Wilson in Geneva, Switzerland Kempinski Grand Hotel des Bains- St. Moriz, Switzerland.

Weathering, best times to visit
The north is much colder than the south in the winter, because of the Alps Generally the best time to visit is in June followed by September and October when the mountain passes are still open

Natural Features The main natural feature in Switzerland are the Alps
They are almost 700 miles Long! WOW They are also a beautiful site to look at

CONCLUSION SWITZERLAND IS A GREAT PLACE TO LEARN ABOUT AND I WOULD LOVE TO VISIT THERE!!!!!!!
