Immunophenotypes of eosinophilic cells in type 2 intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma
Materials and Methods We selected 15 cases of type 2 intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma, which were rich in polygonal eosinophilic cells, and investigated immnophenotypes of these eosinophilic cells. Results The eosinophilic cells never showed positive reactivity to Arginase-1 or Hep Par-1. At least 2 of 3 biliary markers, cytokeratin 7, cytokeratin 19 and CA19-9, were positive in all cases. Positivity rates of each antibody and figures of representative cases are presented below. Antibody Clone Positive rate Arginase-1 SP156 (Abcam) 0/15 (0%) Hep Par-1 OCH1E5 (DAKO) Cytokeratin 7 OV-TL 12/30 (DAKO) 15/15 (100%) Cytokeratin 19 RCK108 (DAKO) 14/15 (93.3%) CA19-9 1116-NS-19-9 (DAKO) 10/15 (66.7%) Arginase-1 (-) Hep Par-1 (-) Cytokeratin 7 (+) Cytokeratin 19 (+) CA19-9 (+) Cytokeratin (+) CA19-9 (-) Arginase-1 Hep Par-1 Cytokeratin 7 Cytokeratin 19 CA19-9 Case 1 Case 2
