5 IUPUI/Ivy Tech Passport Office
For over 25 years, the jointly funded Passport Office has enhanced transfer student initiatives between Ivy Tech Community College Central Indiana (ITCI) and Indiana University –Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). Purpose: To increase access to ITCI students in the eight-county Indianapolis region to a full range of post-secondary education degree options, from the associate through the doctoral levels. Mission: Ensure coordination between IUPUI and ITCI credit courses, non-credit courses, student services, needs assessment, and marketing. Monitor and help promote coordinated student services to facilitate student transfers, concurrent enrollment, and course credit transfer. Promote both institutions as post-secondary institutions which collaborate to meet the full range of community educational needs

Passport’s has implemented exciting new initiatives including - The creation of a transfer guide, Mentoring support added to our scholarship, Transfer student data reporting, and Increased the numbers of articulation agreements, programming, and partnerships.

Established Mentoring to the Passport Scholarship Provide mentoring to all Passport Scholarship awardees Promote and provide peer guidance for full-time enrollment at IUPUI to aid in transfer student retention Provide structure to scholarship post-transfer requirements Expand Passport Scholarship Offerings Offer spring and fall applications to increase awardees Provide funding opportunity for former awardees with additional semesters left at IUPUI Partners: IUPUI Scholarship Office, Ivy Tech Registrar, IUPUI Transfer Student Experience Office, IUPUI students (former awardees)
