Why we need you to Partner with us over the long
Term to secure the future of Scouting in our community! United way is No longer funding our council as well as many other not for Profits. The effect on our annual budget is a negative $150,000 The Great flood of 2016 negatively impacted our sales income by as much as $200,000.

Good News from AVONDALE Scout Reservation
Mr. Warren Davie of Davie Shoring has provided 5 modulor buildings previously used by the New Orleans School system after Katrina. Included is a complete dining hall, new medical buildings, staff housing, STEM center, and camp McGee program building. The buildings are in place, have new roofs, decks and skirting. Total cost to the council under $500,000 or $29/sq.ft. “A Scout is Thrifty”

Ferrara Fire Apparatus has donated a fire truck for use in fighting brush fires and watering roads in the dry season. Salco Construction has erected a new metal building to house our fire truck.

Other fun scouting Fundraising events!
Business & Industry Luncheon. Held in the fall, tickets are $ 250 or Table of 10 is $2,500. Cooking for Character. Held in August, tickets are $50pp. Sponsorships are $1,200 includes table of 10 plus Sponsorship sign, etc… Clay Shoot. Held in May at Avondale Scout Reservation, team participation is $1, Sponsorship of $5,000 includes two teams of 4. Adult Pine Wood Derby. Held in April at Gerry Lane, car cost is $300 or $ Sponsorships are $1,500.

BRONZE Partner Pledge $2,500 year for 5 or more years SILVER Partner Pledge $5,000 year for 5 or more years GOLD Partner Pledge $7,500 year for 5 or more years PLATINUM Partner Pledge $10,000 year for 5 or more years Our Corporate Partners will be recognized with a special plaque at Camp Avondale, on our website, and other marketing materials throughout the year.
