You can find this (registration) form on the (pre-master CS)website: Important: When you study full-time we strongly advice you to do all the courses in one semester! You only will be admitted to the master at the moment you have completed you pre-master CS completely.

12 Rules in the Pre-master CS Programme
The pre-master’s programme is (a full-time) programme of 30 EC (1 semester on the basis of 40 hours of study a week). All pre-Master’s courses must be successfully completed before you can enroll in the Master programme CS. The maximum registration period for completing the pre-master’s programme is 1 year. During this period you may maximal sit 2 times for an exam. If you do not pass the second time for one ore more exams you will be excluded from the pre-master’s programme CS. Obligatory prior knowledge to start with the course Research Project Communication Science, Research Meth & Des. Statistics at least grade 5 AND Academic Writing at least grade 6!

13 Important Regulations
All rights and duties are stated in the Teaching and Examination Regulations: “OER”  this document can be found on: Main issues for Pre-Master are: Maximum of 2 test attempts for each course in pre-master within 1 study year!!! Maximal registration period in the pre-master’s trajectory is 1 year ! So If you fail a course max. 2 times = you have to leave the programme Not completed in time (1 year) = you have to leave the programme Always bring your student card to each exam. 13

17 European Credits (EC’s)
1EC = 28 hours of work (the actual effort may of course vary per person) 60EC = 1 year Each course = 5 EC (masterthesis = 30EC) Grades: or less = fall 5.5 or more = pass

19 UT-Regulations: Studying with special circumstances
The UT wants to support students with functional limitations (a ”handicap”) as much as possible “Handicap”: can be ADHD, a chronic disease, dyslexia, RSI, …. Do you have any functional limitation, then always contact your student adviser 19

Register for courses and if necessary for retake-tests (= obligatory! ) De-register for exam in case you don’t go Check personal info, grades, study programme and progress After registering in Osiris, you are also enrolled for this course in Blackboard: Detailed course information + communication with lecturer UT student account All communication with the programme CS and the university through your UT student  check regularly!

Rosters can be found on the Student portal: MyTimetable (or: Select: - Add timetable  Log in now - 2016/2017 - Module/study programme - Masters / Premasters BMS - Communication Studies PM / MA FEB 2A - Add timetable  Close You can compose your personal timetable for all the courses you will be taking. You can export this timetable to your own agenda on your smartphone. Any changes in the timetable will be sent to your smartphone within 15 minutes.

26 Enrollment courses and exams
Always bring your account and password with you to practicals! Registering for (written) exams is obligatory for all exams!! To take part in educational activities, you will have to enrol in Osiris for courses (you are also enrolled for the first chance of the corresponding test/exam of this course). Always bring your student card with you to each exam

27 Summary of most important information
Enroll for courses through Osiris (= incl. Blackboard) If necessary, you need to register for retake-tests again separately (just for the test!) in Osiris NOTE:  registration period for courses closes at start of the block  registration for (retake) tests is open days before the test  de-register 1 day latest before the exam, when you decide not to sit the exam! Max. 2 attempts per course; max. 1 year enrolled in the pre-m CS. Check your UT-student mail regularly Visit the CS website: for important programme information
