HEALTH INSURANCE You can waive this insurance if:
All CUMC SON Students Health insurance required You are automatically enrolled in: Columbia Student Health Insurance Plan (administered by Aetna) Starting Fall 2017,students will be automatically enrolled in the GOLD level of the plan. You will have the option to upgrade to PLATINUM or waive. You can waive this insurance if: your own coverage is comparable you sign a financial responsibility statement you waive before June 30, 2017 & again before September 30, 2017 Regardless of your insurance, all CUMC students are automatically charged a SHS fee. This covers: Primary Care visits Mental Health Services Center for Student Wellness programs & services

A clinician is available for after hours telephone consults. 2. What is the process for waiving health insurance? Check insurance & waiver requirements carefully. Waiver must be completed by June 30, 2016 for Summer and by September 30, 2016 for Fall. 3. How do you schedule an appointment? You can schedule an appointment online via our web portal.
